Viewpoint University, or VPU, as some students call it, offers three hours of class, Monday thru Friday, from 4 until 7pm.
No tuition, No student fees, No parking permits, No books to buy. No Tests...You get what you pay for.
VPU brings in "visiting adjunct professors" (who we lovingly refer to as "junk professors") to talk about important issues of the day. Elected officials, dull, but sometimes powerful bureaucrats, business and labor leaders, and sometimes just regular students with something important to say, are all regular visitors in the faculty lounge.
VPU invites students to raise their hands (that means make a phone call) to offer wisdom, insight, levity, or just plain B-S, to the subjects being discussed.  Missing class because of work is tolerated. Playing hookie is not. Students receive gold stars for excellent contributions to the discussion of the day.
